February 13, 2019 A working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Bernhard Reutersberg, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Uniper, took place in Moscow today.
The parties discussed ongoing and future cooperation, including Russian gas supplies to Germany. It was noted that the amount of gas exports to the country was maintained at the level of the previous year due to warm February weather. Between January 1 and February 12, Gazprom delivered an estimated 7.7 billion cubic meters of gas to Germany, an increase of 0.7 per cent against the same period of 2018.
Particular attention at the meeting was paid to the progress of the Nord Stream 2 project.

Video footage showed dozens of residents near the town of Tlahuelilpan gathered to collect spilled fuel in buckets, garbage cans and other vessels.
'There was a report that residents were on the scene trying to obtain fuel,' according to a police report.

The media in Tel Aviv have reported that the UAE has invested as much as $100 million in an ambitious Israeli project to pipe natural gas to Europe.
The investment would be made by a company based in Abu Dhabi for a pipeline project which is internationally known to be unique given its record length as well as the extreme depths it would be laid toward Europe, Lebanon’s al-Mayadeen quoted Israeli media as reporting.
The agreement has been described as “historic” by Israeli media, al-Mayadeen added.
Israel has signed a multilateral deal over the scheme – called the East Med Pipeline Project - with Greece, Italy and Cyprus. The European Union also supports the project.

Russian military officials say that the targeted areas were rebel positions belonging to the group behind the poison gas attacks on Aleppo. This included al-Qaeda-linked Horas al-Din and Ansar al-Din Front.
The rebels targeted were meant to have been part of the Turkey-Russia truce deal, but had refused to cooperate with the deal, saying it was a conspiracy to undermine them. The chemical attack seems to have provided Russia with a justification to pound their territory.

The Turkish Stream project envisages the construction of a gas pipeline across the Black Sea to the European part of Turkey and farther to the border with Greece. The seabed section is to be about 910 kilometers long and the land section will run 180 km into Turkey. Gas deliveries via the first stretch of the gas pipeline are designed to meet the requirements of the growing Turkish market, while the second stretch is planned to deliver gas to the countries of Southern and South-Eastern Europe. Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday participated in an official ceremony marking the completion of the offshore section of the Turkish Stream natural gas pipeline.
The offshore section of the pipeline, which is 930km (578 miles) and runs along the bottom of the Black Sea, is designed to deliver Russian gas to the Turkish market. Russia’s Gazprom began construction of the section in May 2017.
It will be continued by a 180km (112 miles) land transit line for gas supply to the countries of south and southeast Europe. The first deliveries are scheduled for the end of 2019.
